For a long time now
We have left the lands of our fathers
Our forests and our gods
We go alone on the paths
We have forgotten prayers
We have forgotten constraints
Our law comes to us from the winds
We live by our weapons
We let us live for our weapons
for the songs of our bards
The lights of beer and wine
The ravens laughed in the sky
the men of the cities have fallen ©s under our blows
Their blood decorates the stone idols
On the marble altars, the rats eat their livers
Cdux who were able to flee our rage
Weep their dead this evening
Their funeral ode punctuates our celebration
In their still red skulls flow beer and blood
The winds blow on the fertile plains
the men of the cities called those to whom they pray
Their faith gave them victory
The god with laurel drank our strength
We left our brothers to lie on the ground
The rotting corpses of our friends
Feed those below
The vultures take away their souls
The flies blacken their flesh
From our broken weapons flows a song of rust
My walk ends soon
The roads of defeat
Lead to other worlds
In the Hellenistic lands
Where my gods have left me
I offer my blood to the storm
my flesh to the hyenas
My Eyes, My glory to the crows
