its been some time since i made up my mind to make jesus the lord of
my life, i face the fear,
and shed many tears but jesus has stood by my side.
when i hear satan say, you are not even saved.
you traveling down the wrong path.
i recall once again where grace withstood sin.
down memory swing i take him back.
and i take him back to the time at the old
fashion meeting when the prescence of God filled the air.
when the saints were singing.
of grace and glory.
sweet melody seasoned with prayer.
when one sinful sermon from an old fashion
preacher was like life to a poor dying slave.
and i walk him down the isle to a place at the alter.
where grace fell and i know i got saved.
i never knew love till it came from
above and took it apart in my heart.
where the sun now shines brighter.
my heart and is wider.
since jesus gave me a new start.
my songs have been changed.
my life rearranged,
my journey is now a new road and when that old accuser tells me i am
a looser i remind him how he lost my soul and i take him back to the
time at an old fashion meeting when the prescence of God filled the
