I looked across the water and saw you standing
I didn't recognize you by what you were wearing
Well you called on out to me and you asked me what we caught
Dissapointed by the question I answered not a lot
Actually None.
You told me not to worry bout fishing all night
You said try it one more time but this time on the right
So I cast out all my nets on the right side of the boat
Well then I looked up right at you as you smiled in your coat
And then I caught a lot of fish
And it was at that moment I knew who you were
So I abondoned ship to get to you faster
I swam right through the waves and I ran up on the shore
Although I love the sea I knew I loved you much more
Well thanks for coming
We gathered up some wood and we cooked what we caught
We sat down on the beach we just talked a whole lot
Well I tried not to think about when you had to leave
Our laughter and our stories made it seem easy
Or easier I guess
You asked me if I loved you and I told you my thoughts
I said you know I do and I never have not
Well you asked me two more times just to prove a point
Well it kind of made me sad but the thought still gave me joy
That you never changed
Thinking about that day makes this whole thing better
