Sarah’s gone and jumped over the moon again
A Rocket ship burning through her veins
She knows that things have changed
But she still feels the same old stain
She says that she doesn’t think she believes in God
She prays every day just the same
I think it’s a shame
She needs to hear what God has to say
There’s a twister touching down two towns east of here.
It’s tearing up another trailer park
She can see the sky is moving
the sky is growing dark.
Sarah’s climbed up on the water tower again
She can see across the West Texas plain
And if the sky would clear,
she imagines she could see all the way to Spain
She prays that the wind would come and take her away
Pull her up into the fading sky
But the clouds move away and leave her asking God why?
The sun breaks through the clouds
but the sun means nothing anymore
Too many prayers gone unanswered
and Sarahs keeping score
Sarah’s climbed up on the water tower,
she won’t come down until she has her answer (X6)
