As If You Were Me
I'll make you cardboard houses
Like we did when I was little
I'll have you throw some big balls
I'll buy you some balls and mitts
We'll go camping in your bed
We'll make a tent with the sheets

I'll give you my old bags
And you'll hide your treasures in them
We'll collect beautiful rocks
When we go outside to play
I'll make you draw castles
And princesses with long hair
Who will wear big hats
And your first name
We'll lie down on the grass
And then, we'll roll down the slopes
I'll teach you how to swim
By putting my hand under your stomach
One day, we'll climb in the trees
I've wanted to do it again for a long time
And I'll tell you this popular fable
We'll think we're birds
But I swear that we won't be fooled
Like the famous old crow
Face the fox
We'll look at the photos
Of me when I was your age
I looked like two drops of water
Which I'll say while pointing at my face
Sometimes, we'll want you to go to bed
A little later than ordinary
To see the flies fly that make
Light
Your father and I will not agree
So that you come and sleep in the big bed
But we will make a big effort
Not to say yes
And we will have so much remorse
By saying no
That we will fall asleep with a heavy heart
Like your balloons...
