Superficial converstations undermine the social stats
Of young and immature adults who probably buy into that,
But culture doesn't contradict the things we have a problem with.
They thoroughly support it... Usually find a way to honor it.
So here I am to opposition hopin' to define a mission
Needed but rejected by the people I'm correctin'
So excues me if i'm wrong, but I'm here to interject
In such a subtle yet profound attempt to interupt your temperment.
'Cause sentiment: Just a new excuse to be complacent
In a world that's growing distant from the one that we were raisin' in.
It's tasteless. Even entertainin' thought of compromise
'Cause we lose our supremacy to consubstantial artiface.
And that begins to dissoulte and miscontrue reality
Till we believe that Jesus is subordinate to vanity.
And that should cause concern, but still we hardly ever notice
'Cause addressing fellow Christians could cause us to be alone.
And so nothing ever changes. We become the things we talk about
In church behind the person in our pew, but it's about 'em.
We don't really have a problem with it. We'd rather move on and let it sit inside our spirit and convict us. Lets be honest though.
I'm not here to sugarcoat it. Emphasize your underlyin' problems
Like I'm opted out 'em. I'm just here to let you know that judgement is upon us.
We don't have the time to promise God our actions don't reflect our hearts like He don't see our motives.
Nah, I don't really care about the competition.
Let them listen. Let them hear my vision. Let them tell me where im missin'.
Let them have the intuition. I mean, only if it's biblical.
Dont claim to be prophetic if you're just tryin' to be lyrical.
