I would love to be a little ray of sunshine,
a little flash of light, a ray of hope on the horizon,
a bringer of good mood, a messenger of peace and
a giver of joy, a giver of happiness, a smile without Reason.
I would love to be a little colorful fish,
a fin swinger, water splasher full of love of life,
an artist of life, a connoisseur of happiness, living for the moment,
planned distraction ¶over from your problem.
I would love to be a big, green, strong tree,
a mountain, a rock in storm and surf, warm safe haven,
' a strong, firm shoulder that provides security,
backing, security, trust for all time.
I would then pursue you, always brighten your path,
drive away all shadows, all obstacles ¤llen,
and if everything is gray in your lake of soul,
I would be the only splash of color, a glimmer of hope just for you.
But to my regret, I won't be any of that ,
because I'm completely normal and just have a bone,
that you find something in me, that's why I'll at least try
to steal a piece for you from the sunbeam, from the fish, from the tree.
