Everyone listening, heed my warning well,
and take a great lesson from this story I tell.
When all your troubles, lay there at your feet,
you’ll know Jesus is riding in the passenger seat.
As we go down life’s crooked road, life’s burdens we must pay,
and we fine it very hard to meet, all the challenges of each day.
But it never fails we forget there is someone up above,
and all we have to do is call, he’ll be glad to share your love.
Yes, if we’d only let him know, in some small, understanding way,
that we still know right from wrong, he’s going to be right here to stay.
If we do all the things that are right, he’ll be there to comfort you,
For you see friends I know, cause I’ve been down that same road too.
So don/t ever take things, to lightly my friends,
give thought to where life might end.

Not so long ago, I thought my life’s aim was complete,
All along the road, my fortune lay right there at my feet.
But I sought fame and fortune, and thought life was just a song,
I was too blind to see, my aim was all wrong.
Then one day as I was ridiing, down that road all alone,
a bliniding crash could have taken me from all the friends, I had known,
But as I walked away from that twisted, ole wreck, I knew someone was there with me,
For you see, Jesus was riding, in the passenger seat.
