HE PROVED HIS LOVE
God looked at the earth He had built
And He said I am lonely still
So from the clay of the earth a man's life was birth just for Him
And the man that He loved so much
Rejected His love with one touch
Of the forbidden tree that caused Him
to flee from God's presence (oh Lord)
But God's love for man never changed
Today, tomorrow it remains the same
So He said to His own Son,
You've got to be the one to redeem man to me

He loves me
I know that He loves me
When God gave His Son for me, He proved to me He loved
So from heaven His Son came to earth
With the gift of unmeasured worth
It was a gift that's so pure and sure to endure always
Whooo and just like it happened before
The gift man seemed to ignore
So a purchase was made, a price was paid for our redemption
So on Calvary He hung, bled and died
It was for our sin that He gave His life
You see the purpose was to share
To show how much He cares for you and me

I know that He cares for me
When God Christ gave His life for me, He proved to me He cares
He loves me
I know that He loves me
When God gave His Son for me, He proved to me He loved
When God gave His Son for me, He proved to me He loved
When God gave His Son for me, He proved to me He loved
He proved He loved!
He proved He Loved! He proved it! He proved He loved!
