GUARDIAN ANGELS WORKIN' OVERTIME
I remember at 18
Driving too fast in the rain
Lost control on the interstate
Swerved over to oncoming lanes
Each moment was in slow motion
I started to pray
All of the cars stopped
Then went on their way
Whenever I look back over my life
The only way I could've ever survived
When there were times of danger
Guardian angels were there for me
Now I feel I'm never alone
When I'm in trouble I'm not on my own
They might be strangers
Guardian angels working overtime, over me
I was on vacation
Swimming in the Florida Keys
A riptide dragged me under
I was falling fast into the deep
Then out of the blue someone came
And pulled me to shore
Must be some purpose
That I'm living for
â¦and over my life
Always watching making sure I'm all right
They work day and night to earn their wings
I'm so thankful to those angels I can't see
