I will never have a birthday party at the zoo

I was so excited in my brand new jelly shoes

I was witnessing the horror I was meant to do
I never knew my weight was crashing down
Down to the cold, hard ground, at the zoo

Kids and parents signed up at the entrence, of the zoo
All the other children hadn't seen my new jelly shoes
Sue was pretty jealous, but she didn't think I knew
After all this was her birthday party, at the zoo
Soon the moms were in the distance far away

Sue was joyus bouncing us this way and that

Suddenly I was running, running through a pack of wild birds
Suddenly I was leaping, leaping through a bunch of noisy birds
Suddenly I felt like I was flying, over stupid brds that never learned to fly
Suddenly I was then, on a little birdie's head
And suddenly I was crying, I had killed a birdie dead, at the zoo
All the kids and all the moms were crying, at to zoo
Actually not crying, they were sobbing, specially Sue
I was bawling too, I couldn't beleive that I was true
I had killed a bird at Susan's party at the zoo
All because I chose to wear my new jelly shoes
So I will never have a birthday party at the zoo
