Indespensable
If these voices in my head would quiet and be kind.
So I could get some sleep.
Doctor says I need all these pills to ease my mind.
That is a subject way too deep.
Join that rat race but never see.
Rights I have just to be me.
Zoned out and spaced up so I cannot feel.
Won't give my heart away again.
Cause love for us was never real.
Indispensable, nothing could bring such joy.
Than for you to say you're coming home.
But I guess you never will.
The speed, pills and this cocaine brought some relief.
Until I looked back over the problems of my past.
That caused so many innocents such grief.
How can I make up that life to you?
Pride I had to take it hard.
To come into a better life with relief.
