There was a time that we could not have gone to God in prayer
Unworthy to approach God's throne and take our burdens there
But because of the sacrifice Jesus made on Calvary
Now we can go to God in prayer and he will hear our plea
God remembers Calvary every time that we pray
It brings to mind why Jesus died and why the price was made
And because of the covenant made there with you and me
God answers prayer and he remembers Calvary
When I call upon God's grace praying for some need
He recalls when I came to him and in faith believed
He doesn't see the cost, He sees the blood that took away my sin
And the blood cries out on my behalf and God hears my prayer again
God remembers Calvary every time that we pray
