Every Waking Moment
I don’t think about you only - once or twice a week –
I don’t see your face there always - in others that I meet.
I don’t even think I could not go on alone without you –
But I have confess to thinking all about just you –
At another kind of level – in another kind of way.
And that’s for every waking moment – of every single day –
Yes - for every waking moment – of every single day.
I know I shouldn’t love you – the way I madly do –
I know I should just like you for the things I know are you.
I try and use my reason to show me I am wrong –
But a week is an eternity - and a day is far too long.
