Will Hoge angels wings

Woke up on my birthday and came to realise
So much of my life has come and gone
I guess I don't have much to show
For all the things I've done
But I still think there's better days to come
If I had an angels wings
Would I even leave the ground?
If I had a ladder up
Would I climb or fall back down?
Are there any higher things than what chain me to the ground?
How many chances do I get to turn it all around?
There's a laundry list of my mistakes and a pile of dirty clothes
And whiskers turning gray before my eyes
My wife's in this bed next to me, but the space between us grows
And she don't know I hear her when she crys
If I had an angels wings
Would I even leave the ground?
If I had a ladder up
Would I climb or fall back down?
Are there any higher things than what chain me to the ground?
How many chances do I get to turn it all around?
Well I'm older than Jesus but still dumber than hell
And I'm so tired of fighting this war with myself
If I had angels wings
Would I even leave the ground?
If I had a ladder up
Would I climb or fall back down?
Are there any higher things than what chain me to the ground?
How many chances do I get to turn it all around?
How many chances do I get to turn it all around?
